Также можно использовать инструменты разработчика Chrome. Технически файлы cookie представляют собой текстовую информацию в формате “имя = значение”. Например, “language = ru-RU”, где “language”- это имя файла, а “ru-RU” – его значение.

Так, если многоязычный веб-сайт использует этот метод хранения информации, каждый из его посетителей получит файл cookie, содержащий их языковые предпочтения. Посетитель, выбравший русскую версию сайта, например, нажав кнопку “Ru”, получит файл cookie “language = ru-RU”. Другой посетитель, выбравший английскую версию сайта, получит файл cookie “language = en-US”.

Когда каждый из этих посетителей впоследствии откроет один и тот же сайт, то сайт будет знать, на каком языке загружаться, увидев их файлы cookie.

Идентификатор может храниться в базе данных сайта вместе с пользовательскими настройками и данными. Когда этот посетитель перезагружает сайт, его браузер отправляет cookie “userID = dfg45sd7fg87d5f4g”. По полученному идентификатору сайт проверяет и удаляет из базы данных только информацию об этом посетителе.
